Nintendo have released a new Wii. The Limited Edition Black Wii. They have done this in time for Christmas, which is understandable because they need to bring something out to compete in the market and keep the sales coming in. In this brief article we will take a look at this new black Wii and decide if you should take the plunge and purchase this limited edition piece or whether you should opt for the traditional white Wii.

Last Christmas the Nintendo Wii went crazy and was the best selling console over the festive period. This year however it seems that to maintain their title they have bought out the Black Wii in an attempt to keep things fresh and almost trick buyers into thinking this is something new and better. The fact is that this black console is exactly the same as the white Wii and has just changed colour.

So should you buy one?

Well the new Wii is being sold as a Wii bundle and as I hope you already know, this is the best way to buy a new Nintendo Wii, because it’s the best value you’ll get for your cash. This is a plus point but you must realize that you can still get this bundle with the white console. Nintendo say they have sold over 1 million units of the new edition and this will only grow in the lead up to Christmas. This must mean it’s popular and you have to admit it does look very cool. The bottom line is that the prices are the same and if you were going to buy a Wii before you found out about the black console then opting for the Limited Edition is a good move but don’t let Nintendo make you think this is a new and better console and part with your cash unnecessarily. Ultimately to get yourself one at the cheapest price is to wait until January when prices will be reduced in the sales and the Bundle size maybe increased.
