With Halo 3 out on the market and many other graphic intensive games soon to be released, many of us gamers are facing some pretty costly repairs. Many of us are already facing this problem and our only answer has been Microsoft or costly repairs at the shop.

Of Course, Microsoft has been doing a lot to keep their customers happy, so if you have never opened your console or had it for less than 90 days, and you do not mind the shipping costs, you should give them a call. If you have opened the console and it is no longer under warranted then you are in the same ship as I am.

Owning an Xbox 360 can be a hassle sometimes. Sometimes the Xbox locks up, an error message takes over your screen, you get dirty disc errors for no reason, or you get the Red Ring of Death. I’ve heard some truly bad advice on how to fix these problems such as hitting the Xbox or blowing hot air into it. Do NOT Do this.

The repair shop is always an option and will usually get the job done. Remember though that it is more profitable to sell you a whole new Xbox and they might not tell you the whole truth about your problem. Usually between $100-$140 will fix minor problems.

If you are like me then the idea of spending $100 on something other than a game bothers you. The answer, of course, is very simple. Learn to fix your Xbox 360 yourself! It is not as hard as you think and there are plenty of internet books on the subject. Save your money and keep playing!
